They say never ever discuss religion or politics (well, Erin does, anyhow). I've done one this week, so why not make it a clean sweep and go for the second?

Seriously people, I have seldom been as happy (my wedding days being notable exceptions, and certain other occasions with my gorgeous wife) as I am today, leaning not only of the Democrats taking back the House of Representatives, but also that they'll probably get Senate as well. Rumsfeld resigning was just the icing on the cake. And I'm coming at this from the point of view of a Conservative, in UK political terms.

Speaking as a British person, you have to believe me when I say that this is a huge step in the right direction for global harmony; the sooner we get out of Iraq and actually start behaving like decent world citizens, the better.

Could this day get any happier? Only if Fox News were closed down...... but I suppose that's too much to hope for.
