~ California Power Crisis ~
Ok, I heard that California was having trouble with its power bills. They don't seem to be able to manage their power needs very well, which is perhaps unsurprising seeing as they chose to elect a man to the position of governor who drives a Humvee and thinks that's helping the environment... hey ho.

Anyhow, I had what I thought was a brilliant idea whilst driving from Houston to College Station today (come on you Aggies). California is full of fitness fanatics, who between them must put in thousands of hours per day on treadmills and exercise cycles. Why not hook up all of those machines to an electricity generator, and use the power created by the people working out to feed the state grid system, thereby reducing energy bills? Just like hamsters on a wheel.

I can see the adverts now.... "just one weekly hour-long spinning class with 40 of your friends can provide enough power to supply your local Waffle House with electricity for two days...." etc etc. I think it's a winner.

Hey - and if Arnie joined in, we could start calling him "The Generator"

tee hee hee!

I'm convinced it could work......
