Perhaps the most meaningless phrase on earth, and one of my most hated. I just went onto evites to send out an invitation to Stephanie's and my first party together, our Christmas/housewarming party next month.

I couldn't find "Christmas Party" anywhere - only "Holidays Party" or whatever it is. I mean, how stupid. It's Christmas for goodness sake. I know to other people it's something different, but political correctness really has gone mad if we're not even given the option of referring to one of our most important festivals just in case we could possibly put the minorities' noses out of joint. How ridiculous. It's not as if they don't buy into the whole thing anyhow; presents, carols, lights, trees, even Father Christmas (or Santa Claus if you must....).

Talk about having your Christmas Cake and eating it. Oh no! I'll probably get shot for writing that. It should obviously be Holiday Cake.
