South Korea and Japan
Chris and I have been truly having a long distance relationship lately. If you thought a 5 hour time difference would be weird, try a 14 hour time difference! We typically talk twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. The way you work a 14 hour difference is this: Chris gets up at 8am in Korea or Japan so that we can talk before I go to bed (10pm in the US). THEN I get up at 8am so we can talk before he goes to bed (10pm). It is seriously odd to say goodnight to someone when you have literally just crawled out of bed in the morning. But we have been taking full advantage of Skype. We have talked free the whole time he has been in Japan. Sometimes our schedules don't line up and we can't talk at all. Those are the days we both hate.
By the time Chris gets to Ky in December, we will have gone 51 days without seeing each other. We figured it was going to be hard, but we dealt with it well the first few weeks. Now it's getting ridiculous. We really miss each other. There is no complaining from us though. For two people who live in different countries, we get to see each other quite a lot. When we visit, it is usually for a week at a time each month although he will be here for 3 weeks at Christmas. Also Chris' parents are coming to KY for Christmas. It really is going to be the best and I can't wait for everyone to arrive.
